Faculty and Staff: Mentoring and Student Support Opportunities
Undergraduate Advising
Faculty members are invited to serve as academic advisors to eight freshmen, and their intellectual interests prior to enrollment. This is organized by student residential complex.
Faculty may continue to work with their advisees as sophomores or may choose to advise second-year students through the Sophomore Mentoring program.

Sophomore Mentoring
Faculty may serve as mentors for second-year students whom they have taught in a Freshman Seminar or Sophomore College Class. The mentoring program hosts student-and-mentor luncheons designed to introduce sophomores to research opportunities.

Undergraduate Program Enhancement Grants (Formerly Honors Enhancements)
Undergraduate Program Enhancement Grants provide academic department and program funding to facilitate students’ exposure to the intellectual resources of the departments and programs.
The grants are designed to support all students (freshmen and sophomores contemplating majors; juniors and seniors already in their majors; honors and nonhonors students).
