Course Opportunities and Support
Faculty members interested in the following pursuits will find support for these and other endeavors through a number of undergraduate programs:
- Exploring new undergraduate course development
- Integrating new technology or instruction into the classroom
- Developing deeper intellectual relationships with freshmen and sophomores through small group seminars
Mentoring and Student Support Opportunities
Developing personal relationships with students around shared intellectual interests is one of the most gratifying aspects of working with undergraduates. A variety of opportunities, training and support are available to faculty to serve as undergraduate mentors.
Research Partnerships
Faculty may explore research partnerships with undergraduates through a variety of programs designed to support students’ development as scholars and researchers. Faculty and departmental grants and student stipends are available.
Curriculum and Teaching
A variety of curricular and teaching resources are available to faculty for exploring new curricula and enhancing current courses.
These are primarily in the form of consulting services and one-time funding support. Consulting services include course design, TA development, honors enhancements and classroom technology.
